To enhance road traffic capacity and ensure vehicle safety, recently, the comprehensive administrative law enforcement team of the transportation department in Jiayuguan City has conducted a special rectification activity targeting illegal establishment of at-grade crossings on maintained roads in the jurisdiction, in conjunction with a special campaign addressing prominent issues in the transportation law enforcement field.

First, thorough investigation. Law enforcement personnel conducted a detailed inspection of ordinary national, provincial, and county roads within the jurisdiction, investigating the situation of at-grade crossings on the roads; second, classified handling. For at-grade crossings that have already formed illegal facts and affect road safety, the parties involved are ordered to clear them within a specified time. For those that truly need to be added, relevant enterprises are informed to strictly follow legal procedures for approval and to construct according to highway engineering technical standards; third, publicity and education. The relevant laws and regulations regarding highways and safety knowledge are promoted to enterprises and residents along the highway, patiently explaining the dangers of privately opening at-grade crossings to road and driving safety, effectively raising public awareness of road protection. This activity cleared a total of 46 at-grade crossings, stopped the establishment of 1 at-grade crossing on-site, and issued 4 "Notice of Correction of Illegal Behavior" to relevant enterprises.

In the next step, our team will continue to strengthen road surface patrols and hidden danger investigations on highways, severely crack down on illegal behaviors of unauthorized establishment of level crossings, implement the work measures of "I do practical things for the masses", and strive to achieve a significant improvement in road traffic order and a notable increase in traffic capacity, fully ensuring the safety and smoothness of highways in the jurisdiction.
